A pleasant afternoon and evening walk around Hiroshima

We had a plan for the afternoon. First it was going to be lunch at the department store, followed by some shopping. After that, it was off to spend the evening with friends.

Southern Japan in July can be brutally hot. We lucked out with a bit of rain which helped to cool things down. Yes, it was still a bit warm and humid, but cooler than normal.

First up was a bowl of udon at a restaurant in the department store.

We met up with friends by 5:30 p.m., and hung out at their place before heading out to a restaurant for dinner. As always, I ate far more than I should have.

It was a nice evening walk back to the bus station after dinner. It would have been a much different experience if it was still raining!
